Tshirthell.com Goes on the, "Offensive" To Help Save Howard Stern- Hands out 1000 Free “SAVE STERN” T-Shirts on the streets of New York

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 13, 2004—Just days after Clear Channel removed the Howard Stern Show from six of their stations, the internet's largest t-shirt retailer, www.tshirthell.com, has entered the battle to help save Stern by hitting the streets of Manhattan and giving away 1000 free t-shirts.   Says site owner Aaron Schwarz, "A world without Stern is like a day without sunshine, like a stripper without a lap to dance on.  To help protect our right to freedom of speech, we knew we had to take action.”

The free t-shirts are emblazoned with the slogan, "SAVE STERN-CENSORSHIP IS OBSCENE".  For people who were unable to attend the rally, www.tshirthell.com is offering the shirts on their site for only $5 a piece.

“We’re fans, and we wanted to do something to show our support.  We’re not trying to cash in, that’s why the shirt price is so low.  This is about raising awareness." says Schwarz.

tshirthell.com has stirred up their own share of controversy by making shirts that find humor in controversial and politically incorrect material.  In the past they have made shirts that satirized and found humor in eating disorders, abortion, terrorism, and the war on Iraq.

"We feel we’re in the same boat with Howard.” Says Schwarz.  “ We want to make people laugh, and make people think.  If you’re offended, change the station, or go to another website.”

Launched in October 2001, www.tshirthell.com is the most visited t-shirt website on the Internet. The site averages over 75,000 unique visitors and over 400,000 page views daily (source Alexa.com).

tshirthell.com is based in Las Vegas, Nevada, with a manufacturing facility located in Phoenix, Arizona.
